A Study of the effects of Moxibustion at Baekhoi ( GV20 ) and Joksamli ( ST36 ) on lipid in serum

Abstract
In onier to study the effects of Moxibustion on lipid in serum, white rats were induced lipid metabolism disorder by the oral-injection of cholesterol.
The Moxibustion was treated into Baekhoi(GV_(20)), Joksamli (ST_(36)) and Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)),these loci were correspond to human body.
The effects of Moxibustion on lipid in serum were measured by the quantity of total cholesterol and of HDL-cholesterol and of triglyceride and of phospholipid , by the rate of total cholesterol vs HDL-cholesterol and of total cholesterol vs phospholipid in serum. As a result, we can conclude as follows :
1. Effect of Moxibustion on total cholesterol levels in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)).
2. Effect of Moxibustion on HDL-cholesterol levels in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)).
3. Effect of Moxibustion on triglyceride levels in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)).
4. Effect of Moxibustion on phospholipid levels in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)).
5. Effect of Moxibustion on the rate of total cholesterol vs HDL-cholesterol in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20))+Joksamli(ST_(36)).
6. Effect of Moxibustion on the total cholesterol vs phospholipid in serum of cholesterol treated rats was noticeable in case of Baekhoi(GV_(20)).
